Spring is here on the Central Coast and we enjoyed an afternoon drive to San Luis Obispo. Only a few miles up the road from our lovely Santa Maria and a world of difference. As we drove up the coast, I noticed the foothills to the Sierra Nevada Mountains are beginning to green with the first rains. The foothills to the beautiful Santa Lucia Mountains which start to rise along the coast in Arroyo Grande, and stand above San Luis Obispo, are scattered with mustard grass and lupine.  We enjoyed a delicious brunch at Chow Novo in SLO and what a delight it was to sit under the oak trees on the patio. The mild winds graced us with falling leaves and the sun warmed us as we enjoyed fine food and better company. I love Novo and recommend you stop by and enjoy their lovely, fusion menu and fine wines. Do sit on the patio near the creek and enjoy Central Coast life at it's finest.
